On October 7, 2025, the federal police near Neugersdorf and Zittau caught two criminals sought. At 4:00 p.m., a 66-year-old driver from the Czech Republic was stopped on the S 148. The man had two arrest warrants on his neck for embezzlement and driving without a driver's license.
His luck: he was able to pay the outstanding fines of a total of 2,600 euros and thus escaped a tough replacement sentence of 114 days. The police consistently continue their border controls in order to grab fleeting criminals.
