Two arrests at the rest area: punishment and fraud in focus!

On Monday evening, the federal police arrested two Polish nationals who were wanted with arrest warrants at the An der Neiße rest area near Görlitz. First, a 65-year-old woman was caught and had to go to prison on the basis of an arrest warrant from the Dortmund public prosecutor's office. She had not paid a fine of 2,700 euros for fraud.

Just a few hours later, a 39-year-old was hit at the same border control. Instead of entering Germany, he was arrested on the basis of an executive arrest warrant from the Magdeburg public prosecutor's office. The man could have avoided his prison sentence of 1,620 euros for drunk driving, but had to face the consequences of his behavior.
