Train chaos in Leipzig: Aggressive passenger causes 200 minutes delay!
A 36-year-old German caused massive train delays at the Leipzig-Paunsdorf stop on Saturday afternoon! The man stayed in the track area several times, ran back and forth between the platforms and tried violently to break into an S-Bahn. When he failed to do so, he insulted and threatened the train crew, which further escalated the situation.
The alerted federal police arrived and had to intervene immediately. The aggressive man resisted, but officers quickly subdued him and took him to the station in handcuffs. An investigation was initiated against him for damage to property, resistance to law enforcement officers and insults, as well as administrative offense proceedings for disrupting operations. As a result of his behavior, two trains had to be rerouted and nine trains were delayed for a total of around 200 minutes.
