A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday evening on State Road 11 when a 23-year-old was trapped in his VW Golf 3 Variant. The young driver skidded in a double curve at excessive speed and collided head-on with an oncoming VW Golf 6.
The 23-year-old suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to hospital. The 34-year-old driver of the second vehicle and two passengers - a 45-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman - also suffered minor injuries and also required medical attention. The total damage to the vehicles is estimated at around 25,000 euros. The police have opened an investigation into negligent bodily harm.
