On Saturday morning, the federal police made impressive discoveries at the Ludwigsdorf motorway border crossing! A 29-year-old Ukrainian transported 15 dangerous category F3 fireworks in his vehicle from Poland to Germany - and all without the necessary permit! He is now facing proceedings for violating the Explosives Act.
But that wasn't all: several other crimes were solved on the same day. A 15-year-old Ukrainian was caught at the Görlitz city bridge with an irritant sprayer without the necessary identification, while a 28-year-old Pole was noticed on Sunday with a one-hand knife in his luggage. Both also have to answer for violations of the weapons law. Another Pole (45) had a telescopic baton in the driver's area of his vehicle. All weapons were confiscated and those affected must expect heavy fines.
