Cyclist with 4.7 per mille speeds through border control in Görlitz!
On Wednesday evening, on the border bridge in Hagenwerder, a cyclist was targeted by the federal police. The man, a 40-year-old Pole, visibly struggled with his balance as he drove along the sidewalk towards Germany. Suddenly he crossed the street, stopped at the exit lane, stripped off some clothes and opened a can of beer - a shocking sight for the officers!
An identity check quickly revealed the reason for his daring drive: With a breath alcohol level of an incredible 4.7 per mille, the man was well over the limit. The colleagues from the Görlitz police immediately took over the drunken cyclist and initiated an investigation into drunk driving. The case once again brings the dangers of drunk driving to the table!
