On Thursday afternoon, a shocking incident in Görlitz caused a stir! Shots were apparently fired from an air rifle from a balcony on Landeskronstrasse. Luckily there were no injuries, but the police responded immediately and cordoned off the area. The LebEl special unit, which intervenes in life-threatening situations, was also alerted.
During the course of the investigation, the officers went into an apartment and couldn't believe their eyes: They found three people, a compressed air weapon and the ammunition that went with it! An investigation is now underway into violations of the weapons law and attempted grievous bodily harm. The Görlitz criminal investigation service has the case under control and is determining who the weapon belongs to and who actually fired. The tension remains high!
