Yesterday there was an exciting shoplifting in the Paunsdorf Center! At around 5:30 p.m., a 29-year-old Egyptian and a 36-year-old Tunisian entered a fashion store to secretly steal clothes worth over 1,000 euros, without paying! But her bold action did not go unnoticed. An alert store detective saw the two perpetrators and immediately informed the police.
The chase was exciting: The men fled to the tram, but the police officers from the Grimma police train were on their trail! The two thieves were caught at the Ostheimstrasse stop, taken back to the fashion store and the stolen goods were recovered. After a brief police arrest, the men were finally released. The Leipzig-Südost police station is now investigating the two for theft.
