A 52-year-old Macedonian was arrested on August 25, 2025 at the border crossing near Berggiesshübel. During the immigration check, the federal police found several arrest warrants: three for forgery of documents, the compulsory insurance law and driving without a license, as well as an arrest warrant for serious gang theft, all issued by the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office.
The man could have avoided his prison sentence of a total of 229 days by paying 8,585.00 euros. But instead, due to the remand warrant that was executed at the Pirna District Court, he will now spend the next period of time in the correctional facility.
