On the night of Tuesday, the residents of an apartment building in Virchowstrasse had to leave their apartments in a fleeing manner - a devastating basement fire had frightened them and horror! The inferno broke out in a basement box shortly after midnight, and luckily the tenants noticed the flames in time. They were able to bring themselves to safety and return later.

The fire brigade was quickly on site: the brave emergency services of the main fire station and the northwing fought rapidly against the flames.
