On Saturday, October 18, 2025, three men were arrested at the An der Neiße motorway rest area in Görlitz: a 35-year-old German, a 19-year-old Pole and a 36-year-old Lithuanian. After his arrest on Sunday, the Polish citizen was only handed over to correctional officers after an arrest warrant was executed against him by the Waiblingen district court for arson.
Another incident occurred on Sunday evening at the Krauschwitz border crossing, where a 24-year-old Pole was arrested but quickly released. He still had an outstanding bill with the Bayreuth public prosecutor's office amounting to 800 euros plus 86 euros in procedural costs from a conviction for negligent bodily harm.
