On December 23, 2025 at 9:40 p.m., the emergency control center of DB AG Leipzig alerted the emergency services of the Chemnitz Federal Police Station to a dangerous incident: unknown perpetrators had thrown a bicycle into the track area near Chemnitz-Siegmar.
Fortunately, there was no collision between the bike and a regional train and no delays were reported. The police are asking possible witnesses or people with information to call 0371/4615-0.
