Drug raid at Chemnitz Central Station: two arrests in one night!

On the evening of July 2, 2025, officials from the federal police discovered a 27-year-old Lebanese citizen at Chemnitz Central Station, who transported a large amount of drugs in his shoulder bag. There were about 32 grams of cannabis in a total of 29 clip bags, which indicates the suspicion of drug trafficking. The drugs were secured and the police initiated the corresponding legal steps immediately.

Shortly afterwards, on the night of July 3, another suspect, a 32-year-old Libyer, was checked at the train station. After his arrival from Leipzig, the officials found a cigarette box with about 28 grams of a white crystalline substance, which was identified as a crystal. During another search that led him to the police rooms, the officers in the genital area still discovered a clip bag with around 11 grams of cocaine. Both cases throw an alarming light on the drug problem at the train station.
