Drug raid at Chemnitz main station: two arrests in one night!
On the evening of July 2, 2025, federal police officers discovered a 27-year-old Lebanese citizen at Chemnitz main train station who was transporting a large amount of drugs in his shoulder bag. A total of 29 clip bags contained around 32 grams of cannabis, which indicates suspicion of drug trafficking. The drugs were seized and the police immediately took appropriate legal action.
Shortly afterwards, on the night of July 3rd, another suspect, a 32-year-old Libyan, was checked at the train station. After his arrival from Leipzig, officers found a cigarette packet containing approximately 28 grams of a white crystalline substance identified as crystal. During a further search that led him to the police offices, the officers discovered a clip bag containing around 11 grams of cocaine in his genital area. Both cases shed an alarming light on the drug problem at the train station.
