Federal police stop Portuguese: hidden fireworks batteries and knives!

On Saturday morning, a Portuguese van was stopped at a motorway checkpoint in Ludwigsdorf. During the inspection, federal police found a suspicious box in the loading area, which, according to the 37-year-old passenger, was supposed to be filled with clothing. But the officials weren't fooled and opened the package - and discovered two fireworks batteries that were secretly hidden there!

One of the batteries was legal, but the second, which the man had in his pocket, was category 3 and therefore illegal because he did not have the required permit. The police immediately confiscated the dangerous pyrotechnics and filed a complaint for violating the Explosives Act. But that wasn't all: the police found a dangerous butterfly knife in the man's suitcase, which led to another complaint for violating the weapons law. Here it becomes clear that the law does not spare anyone!
