Federal police caught eight wanted people: highway disaster!
Over the past weekend, the federal police in Ludwigsdorf arrested a total of eight wanted people. On Friday, the handcuffs clicked for a 28-year-old Polish woman at a motorway checkpoint in Görlitz and for a 32-year-old Pole at the Krauschwitz border crossing. The 32-year-old had to serve a three-month prison sentence for drunk driving in a correctional facility.
Saturday brought several arrests: a 30-year-old Slovakian and two 42-year-old Poles were stopped upon entering the country. While three of the men were asked to pay their outstanding debts - a sum of up to 2,400 euros for driving without a license - some of them were able to continue their journey. A 33-year-old Pole was also arrested a few hours ago because he was wanted for theft. After paying 957.75 euros, he was released again.
