SV Werder Bremen has signed another new signing for the U19 team: Noah Weißbach, an 18-year-old Slovenian international, is moving to Bremen from RB Leipzig. The transfer was officially confirmed on Monday evening and represents an important step for the U19, which has to regroup for the coming season as numerous players have moved up to the men's division. Marc Dommer, sporting director of the Werder performance center, praised Weißbach's qualities in passing and tackling, which will be of great importance for the team, reports Dike room.
Noah Weißbach came to RB Leipzig in 2022 via several stations, including SG Schönfließ, SV Glienicke and FC Energie Cottbus. Last season he impressed with a total of 29 competitive games for Leipzig's U19s, in which he scored three goals. He also played six times in the UEFA Youth League and made his debut for the Slovenian U19 national team this year. His contract with RB Leipzig was nearing the end, necessitating negotiations over possible training compensation, but Leipzig decided to release Weißbach on a free transfer, adds Transfer feed.

Weißbach is the second external signing for Werder Bremen's U19s in this transfer window, after Mario Mbassi, who came from VfL Wolfsburg. The young player is expected to strengthen Bremen's regional league team and adapt to the new challenge.
