Summer sensation: Europe's largest roller skating rink is coming to Leipzig!

A particularly attractive event is being offered on Augustusplatz in Leipzig this summer: Europe's largest mobile roller skating rink is coming to the city from August 16th to September 20th, 2025. Organizer Arnold Bergmann invites all Leipzig residents to glide through the summer on rollers in an impressive ambience and be carried away by music and spectacular light shows. The roller skating rink has an area of 885 square meters and a diameter of 35 meters, making it the ideal location for unforgettable leisure fun.

The opening ceremony will be celebrated on August 16th from 5 p.m. with a live performance by roller skater Noah Hirsch and a secret act. Noah Hirsch, who is a member of the national squad in the German Roller Sports and Inline Association and has already won several titles, including vice-European champion, will delight the spectators with his skills. After several years of experience on roller skates, visitors can look forward to an impressive performance.

Opening times and access

The roller skating rink is open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Access is free, although roller skate rental costs 6 euros for children and 8 euros for adults. If you want to bring your own roller skates, you pay a fee of 5 euros. The available sizes for the rental shoes range from 29 to 47. It is important to note that only roller skates are allowed on the track; Inliners and bags must remain outside.

Lounge furniture and deck chairs available for spectators ensure a relaxed atmosphere. On sunny weekends there is also a roller skating disco with music and special lighting effects, which will further lighten the mood. A catering offering with ice cream, grilled classics, filled baguettes, pretzels, fries as well as cocktails and beer, including vegetarian options, ensures culinary delights. Visitors can not only do sports, but also have a good time with friends.

Attractions and views

A very special highlight will be the LOOK 360° panoramic tower, which opens on August 22nd. From a height of 75 meters, visitors can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Leipzig. Lockers for personal belongings are available for a fee to make your visit as pleasant as possible. The track's flooring is non-slip, which increases safety while driving.
