Witness fails robbery in Leipzig – police take over!

At around 4:50 p.m., a 39-year-old German demanded cash from a 23-year-old man at the Wiederitzsch-Mitte tram stop. When the victim said no, the attacker punched him in the face. Fortunately, the incident was observed by an attentive witness who immediately intervened and alerted the police. He supported the victim until the emergency services arrived and kept an eye on the attacker from a safe distance.

The police, who arrived a few minutes later, caught the suspect directly at the crime scene and carried out drug and alcohol tests, which were negative. The victim received medical help on site, while the suspect was released from police custody after being processed for identification.
