Be careful, closures! Current traffic disruptions in the Leipzig district

There are currently numerous construction sites active in the Leipzig district, which could lead to significant traffic disruptions. The latest information on current road closures and restrictions was published on June 8, 2025. As medienportal-grimma.de reports, there are both full closures and temporary restrictions in various regions.

In the area around Wurzen, Bennewitz and Lossatal the focus is on several important roads. The K 8312 between Kleinzschepa and Hohburg has been completely closed since March 31st until June 30th, 2025 in order to renew a drinking water pipe. Road users must expect diversions via Kleinzschepa, Lüptitz and the S 23 to Zschorna. In addition, the S 19 in Wurzen, Th.-Körner-Str. also closed in one direction, from May 30th to October 30th, 2025. This is happening as part of a replacement construction for the combined sewer and the drinking water pipe, with the diversion leading via Freiligrathstrasse.

Regional construction sites and diversions

In Colditz and Bad Lausick, the B 107, Leipziger Straße, was completely closed until June 30, 2025 due to road construction work. Glastener Straße in Schönbach will also be affected by renovation work until June 20, 2025, even if there is currently no full closure. The construction sites in Böhlen, Espenhain, Zwenkau and Markkleeberg extend over a long period of time. The B 2 and Koburger Straße in particular will be severely restricted until the end of 2025.

The road construction project in the Frohburg, Borna and Groitzsch region continues to have full closures, such as the S 51 in Frohburg, which is closed until July 9, 2025. There are also several construction sites in the area around Grimma, such as Husarenstrasse, which will remain completely closed until December 31, 2025.

Information on construction sites in Leipzig

Leipzig is also the focus of construction work that is carried out regularly to maintain and modernize the infrastructure. TAG24 provides current information on these construction sites in order to inform citizens about possible disruptions. These can affect roads, intersections, tunnels and motorway sections.

Providing this information makes it easier for users to prepare for possible traffic disruptions and choose appropriate routes. This not only helps to avoid traffic jams, but also to support traffic control during the construction period.
