Wave of fraud and theft: Dresden police in constant operation!

On June 13, 2025, the police in Dresden and the surrounding area recorded a large number of incidents that are important for local security. The fraud attempts that have increased in recent days are of particular concern. A 72-year-old lady received a call promising her a win of 38,000 euros. To receive this, you should purchase prepaid cards. Luckily, she immediately informed the police, which saved her from possible financial loss. An 85-year-old woman from Pieschen also fell victim to a shocking call in which she was convinced that a relative had been involved in an accident. However, the conversation ended when the perpetrators did not receive any funding.

There were also several thefts in various parts of the city. Power tools worth 10,000 euros were stolen from a construction site in Klotzsche. A break-in at a food truck in Pieschen left a loss of 50 euros in cash. An apartment in Prohlis was also hit, where jewelry and cash worth over €2,000 were stolen from residents. An Audi RS6 was also stolen in Striesen and a fuel card was stolen from a VW in Seevorstadt. In Hellerau, the window of a Hyundai was smashed, causing material damage of around 1,000 euros.

Arrests and violent crimes

The police operations also led to several arrests. A 24-year-old Slovakian man was arrested at the airport after stealing a laptop. Two men were caught with drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, at the main train station. Violent crimes also increased, including a knife attack on Wiener Platz in which a 20-year-old slightly injured a 21-year-old. The perpetrators were quickly caught. There was also an accident in Blasewitz in which a 39-year-old scooter driver was injured. A 15-year-old was robbed at the main train station; Here too, the police were able to arrest the perpetrator.

Traffic accidents and other incidents

The number of traffic accidents was also high. A motorcyclist in Johannstadt was injured, while property damage was estimated at 2,300 euros. A pedestrian in the southern suburb was hit by a tram and suffered serious injuries. A cyclist in Löbtau was also injured, but the cause of the accident is still unclear. Investigations also took place after the vandalism in which a swastika was sprayed on a concrete wall in Pennrich. Officials are continuing their investigation.

A fire in an empty state operetta also aroused the police's interest because children were suspected. Witnesses are asked to come forward, particularly after an incident involving irritant gas at the main train station, where the situation quickly escalated. The high police presence in Dresden feels additional significance, which points to the frequent incidents. Reporting on these topics is carried out by media such as Sächsische.de and HIT RADIO FFH is followed regularly.
