Sticker fever in the Altmark: Discover the region and win great prizes!
Today, June 6, 2025, an exciting hands-on activity starts in the Altmark, which aims to explore and promote the region's leisure activities. Under the motto “Sticker Fever”, ten companies and institutions in the Seehausen community are taking part in this exciting initiative. The Altmärkische Regional Marketing and Tourism Association (ART) from Tangermünde actively supports the campaign.
The contributors include well-known contact points such as the Waldbad Seehausen, the St. Peter's Church in Wischstedt, Andreas Teut's bicycle shop, the nature adventure farm in Vielbaum as well as the Seehäuser Tower Clock Museum and the tourist information in Seehausen. The Italian ice cream parlor in Alandstadt, the Blue Light Museum in Beuster, the Heimatstube in Krüden and the Bretscher Heimatmuseum also contribute to the campaign.
Collect stickers and secure winnings
Participants can collect up to 20 stickers on a special card. You can get these at the various participating locations such as museums, outdoor pools and cafés. As soon as the trading card is complete, it must be sent to ART to receive an attractive gift - including regional products, surprise packages or excursion tips. Some concerns have already been expressed about this, such as the unclear definition of gifts and the effort involved in sending the cards. Some actors in Seehausen have suggested picking up the gifts directly at the tourist information center.
The tourism manager Juliane Güntzel takes this criticism seriously and has already held individual discussions with the participants. The association shares these assessments and will discuss suggestions for improvement at the next team conference. One of the ideas comes from Susanne Figueiredo, who suggests introducing attractive gifts such as the Altmarkkiste and a tiered prize structure.
A regional commitment
The campaign is part of the #altmarkliebe campaign, which was launched in summer 2024 to raise awareness of the attractiveness of the Altmark. Visitors and locals are invited to actively explore the leisure activities of this attractive region. The sticker trading cards are now available at all participating partner businesses, and each full trading card, which includes 20 stickers, will be rewarded with a gift. The initiative of the Altmark Regional Marketing and Tourism Association is financially supported by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
