On Thursday evening, July 10, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B2, north of Leipzig. At around 5:40 p.m., a Peugeot van collided head-on with a Renault, causing the van to roll over and end up upside down on the roof of the Renault. The accident occurred between the towns of Göbschelwitz and Zschölkau, in the district of Northern Saxony. The cause of the accident is still unclear Radio Leipzig reported.
