The rear driver, who was unable to react in time, collided with her friend on the side. Both teenagers fell during the impact and suffered injuries. While the rear driver only suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Hartberg State Hospital (LKH) by the Red Cross, the fate of the front driver was more tragic. She was seriously injured and, after receiving first aid, had to be immediately flown to Graz LKH in the C17 emergency medical helicopter.
