Corpus Christi in Schönau: An entire village celebrates faith!

On June 20, 2025, the small community of Schönau in the district of Regen celebrated the traditional Corpus Christi Day with a festive and joint atmosphere. On this special day, numerous believers from the Schönau parish and representatives of all local clubs gathered to celebrate a central religious event. The celebrations began with a festival service, which was led by retirement pastor Eugen Chroback and pastoral adviser Winfried Weber, the closeness of God and the memory of the last sacrament of Jesus.

The festival was characterized by an impressive procession in which the Blessed Sacrament was borne to four external altars in the village. The participants pulled with flags through the streets, which underlined the important tradition in Schönau to carry the Easter lamb during the procession. People accompanied the ceremony with chants and asked, which made faith visible in a public framework.
