Alpine huts are urgently looking: your chance for a dream job!
On July 9, 2025, numerous Alpine huts will be looking for additional strength to successfully master the upcoming seasons. The German Alpine Association (DAV) and the Austrian Alpine Association (ÖAV) have advertised a wide range of vacancies for cooks, temporary workers and service staff. This demand is an indication of the growing popularity of the Alpine regions, which are now looking forward to successful tourism after difficult years full of challenges.
All-rounders are needed for the huts in the Alps, especially for the following locations:
- Knorrhütte – Wettersteingebirge, Garmisch-Partenkirchen (ab sofort)
- Biberacher Hütte – Bregenzerwald, Sonntag in Vorarlberg (ab sofort)
- Memminger Hütte – Lechtaler Alpen, Zams in Tirol (für Sommersaison 2025)
- Hallerangerhaus – Karwendel, Absam in Tirol (für Sommersaison 2025)
- Wildseeloderhaus – Kitzbühler Alpen, Fieberbrunn in Tirol (ab sofort)
- Erlanger Hütte – Ötztaler Alpen, Umhausen in Tirol (ab August oder nach Vereinbarung)
- Lenggrieser Hütte – Bayerische Voralpen, Lenggries (für Sommersaison 2025)
- Stüdlhütte – Glocknergruppe, Kals am Großglockner in Tirol (für Sommersaison 2025)
- Taubensteinhaus – Mangfallgebirge, Bayerischzell (bevorzugt für komplette Saison)
- Riffelseehütte – Ötztaler Alpen, St. Leonhard in Tirol (für Sommersaison 2025)
- Kärlingerhaus – Alpennationalpark Berchtesgaden, Schönau am Königssee
- Anton-Karg-Haus – Kaisertal, Kufstein in Tirol (ab sofort)
Secondary activities and specializations
Specific positions are also advertised for service staff. Among other things, help is being sought in the Taubensteinhaus in the Mangfall Mountains and the Dortmunder Hütte in the Stubai Alps. The Erfurter Hütte in Tyrol has been needing temporary help for a long summer season since mid-May, while the Riffelseehütte is also offering a position here for the summer of 2025.
Kitchen workers are particularly urgently needed. Huts such as the Lenggrieser Hütte, Stüdlhütte, Albert-Link-Hütte and the Kärlingerhaus aim to employ chefs, kitchen assistants and pastry chefs. Other available positions also include positions at the Rotwandhaus, which has been looking for kitchen staff since July 1, and at the Gepatschhaus, which is looking for employees for the 2025 summer season.
Interested in activities in the mountains
The Alpine region not only offers beautiful landscapes, but also important cultural and sporting activities.
