The Bad Düben region is currently overshadowed by an unpleasant incident that is affecting water hikers. On the morning of August 14th, two Berlin water hikers discovered that their canoe and boat trailer had been stolen. The two had spent the night in the lower parking lot at the Mulde Bridge after arriving at around 9 p.m. on August 13th. Despite securing her canoe with a cable lock, her boat was not immune to thieves.

The stolen canoe is red, has the boat number FSN 1917 and has a large sticker that says “Unger Outdoor Team” and the boat name “Clara”. The material damage amounts to around 2500 euros. The police have now started investigations and are urgently looking for information about the perpetrators. These can be reported to the Eilenburg police station, Bad Düben location, on telephone number 034243 30013, like this LVZ reported.
