Leipziger Rasen Cup 2025: Football for a good cause inspires 21 teams!

Today, Sunday, July 7, 2025, the 20th edition of the “Leipziger Rasen Cup” took place, an event organized by Porsche Leipzig. A total of 21 company teams from Leipzig competed against each other in this charity football tournament. The participation fee for each team was 500 euros, all of which will be donated to a non-profit organization in Leipzig. This year Heizhaus gGmbH received donations of 10,500 euros.

Gerd Rupp, CEO of Porsche Leipzig GmbH, emphasized the social spirit of the tournament in his speech. Heizhaus gGmbH, which is known for its socio-cultural and educational offerings for children, young people and seniors, is now being supported with these funds. Its programs aim to strengthen social integration and promote sustainable personal development.

Results and winners of the tournament

In the final of the “Leipziger Rasen Cup” the Check 24 company sports group prevailed and secured first place. The winning team can look forward to an exciting driving experience on the Porsche circuit, complemented by exclusive insights into the production of the Macan and Panamera models. The team from Porsche Leipzig GmbH took second place, while ST Sport Service achieved third place.

The tournament highlighted Porsche's commitment to the Saxon production site and shows the company's importance in the area of social responsibility. Porsche has also been active as a presenter at the Leipzig Opera Ball since 2013 and donates the main prize for the donation raffle there. With the proceeds from this raffle, Porsche supports the “Leipzig Helps Children” foundation as well as regional projects for children and young people.

With such initiatives, Porsche not only underlines its connection to the region, but also its commitment to the areas of education, social affairs, the environment and culture. The “Leipzig Lawn Cup” is an excellent example of how sporting activities and social responsibility can be successfully combined.
