The countdown for the “schnelleStelle.de company run” in Leipzig is underway. The important sporting event will take place on June 25, 2025 and will already attract over 1,000 companies, authorities, clubs and other organizations. Due to construction work on Cottaweg, this year the event will be held on the festival lawn in front of the Red Bull Arena. The route leads along the Elsterradweg, Hans-Driesch-Straße and the “Am Sportforum” street and ends in the arena parking lot, where the athletes will finally complete an additional lap in the stadium. Mayor Burkhard Jung (SPD) has taken over the patronage of the event, emphasizing its importance for the community.
The event is described as an excellent opportunity not only to show sporting achievements, but also to promote team spirit and networking among local companies. Registration for the run is open for those interested until June 4, 2025. Sports enthusiasts should check their need for starting places and book them in good time, as the production of starting documents begins after the registration deadline. The documents are scheduled to be sent out on June 12, 2025, so that participants can start well prepared.
Creative competition and starter block
Another highlight of the company run is the creative competition that honors the “Most Creative Company”. Prize money totaling 2,000 euros is available, divided into 1,000 euros for first place, 600 euros for second and 400 euros for third place. The proceeds benefit the creative companies' charity projects, which not only heats up the competitive atmosphere, but also contributes to the social responsibility of the participating companies. A helpful creative checklist is provided to support participation and encourage creative ideas.
In addition, participants have the opportunity to secure an exclusive go-getter sticker in the Leipzig running shop, which guarantees access to the go-getter block from 5:50 p.m. The starting signal for this group is at 6:00 p.m., which promises an optimistic and dynamic start to the event.
