On Tuesday evening, a 57-year-old woman was the victim of a violent attack at the Kleinzschocher cemetery in Leipzig. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Schwartzestrasse when the woman was approached by an unknown man. He suddenly attacked her and knocked her to the ground. Although she was injured, the woman managed to fight back, causing the attacker to let go of her and flee. The police have classified the case as a possible sexual offense and are currently looking for witnesses to the incident.
According to police, the injured woman had to be taken to a hospital because she sustained injuries during the attack. Description of the perpetrator
The wanted attacker is described as around 50 years old and between 1.60 and 1.70 meters tall. He has gray, curly and unkempt hair as well as a slim figure and light skin color. Particularly striking is an ear stud in the shape of a white rose that he wore in his left ear. Scars that look like scratches are also mentioned on his arms and legs. The perpetrator was wearing a striking white T-shirt with colorful motifs and a denim jacket. He was wearing cropped jeans, black sneakers and a black backpack.
The Leipzig police have started an investigation and advise people to be vigilant. Witnesses who saw or heard anything are urged to come forward.
