In the Nienburg district, citizens can expect a varied program of events this weekend. The popular open-air festival “Rock das Ding” will take place in Balge/Holzbalge on July 19th and 20th. Organizer Frank Juschkat has put together a diverse line-up of 13 bands that will impress with different music styles from metal to rock to punk. On Friday the gates open at 4 p.m. and the first band will delight the audience at 6 p.m. On both days, the site will also be secured with an extensive security concept developed by Sven-Arne Wehrmann.

During the festival, visitors can look forward to a family atmosphere with camping facilities, electricity connections and a permanent water supply. Breakfast bags with fresh coffee and rolls are offered for campers. The highlights of the event include international bands such as Doctor Victor from the Czech Republic and Krashkarma from the USA, as well as the German rock band Axxis, who will embark on their farewell tour after 35 years. Local band Jaded will also be on stage, heating up the festival atmosphere. Tickets are available on the festival website: www.rock-das-ding.de.
