Complete closure of state road 2065: bridge construction work from July 7th!

From Monday, July 7, 2025, state road 2065 between Sankt Heinrich and Holzhausen will be completely closed for several months. This measure is necessary to replace two outdated bridges over the Karnifflbach and the Buchscharnbach, whose structures are over 100 years old and are no longer load-bearing. The full closure is expected to last until the end of 2025, which will result in significant detours for road users. Construction costs of around one million euros are planned for this task, with three months each being allocated for the demolition and new construction of the bridges.

Construction work will first begin with the renewal of the Karnifflbach Bridge, followed by the Buchscharnbach Bridge. It is important to note that the two bridges cannot be demolished and replaced at the same time to ensure accessibility for residents and emergency services. The section between Sankt Heinrich (Pischetsried) and Holzhausen (Buchscharn) will be completely affected by the closure. Residents and business owners were informed in advance and received valuable information about the project progress through information posters with QR codes that link to the official project page of the State Building Authority.

Diversion routes and traffic adjustments

Detours have been set up to take road users via the Garmisch Autobahn (A 95) and state roads in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. The alternative routes lead via Beuerberg, Eurasburg and Achmühle. This ensures that accessibility for local traffic is maintained despite the closures. In addition, it is still possible to get to the Ambach district and the adjacent recreational areas from the north, while the swimming area at the small lake house can only be reached from the south. The full closure also has an impact on the RVO bus line 373, which serves the connections between Wolfratshausen, Münsing and Seeshaupt.

However, cycling traffic remains unaffected by the closure. The popular cycle tour “Around Lake Starnberg” can be cycled north of Sankt Heinrich without restrictions. Furthermore, the landing stage on the “Ambach” remains accessible for lake shipping, but only from the north.
