The 19-year-old will appear in the regional league Südwest for the Freiburg in the coming season. Leon Koß began his football career at the age of eight at FC Eintracht Holzhausen before moving to the RB Leipzig junior department. There he went through all youth teams before climbing the U19. A brief interruption from 2014 to 2016 led him to the 1st FC Lokomotive Leipzig, but he returned to RB Leipzig two years later and continued his development.

Last season Koß came up with a total of 19 missions in the DFB youth league and made a significant contribution to the fact that RB Leipzig reached the round of 16 of the German championship.
