Works of art to marvel at: 17th annual exhibition opens in Dießen!
The 17th annual exhibition of the Raisting Artists' Roundtable (KSR) takes place in the picturesque surroundings of the Blue House in Dießen am Ammersee. The opening of the exhibition is on July 12, 2025 at 7 p.m. and it will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until July 20, 2025. This traditional event offers a platform for artists and art enthusiasts from the region and attracts participants from a wide catchment area that extends from Ammersee via Starnberg, Murnau, Landsberg to Munich. According to merkur.de, the exhibition includes a wide range of works of art, including object art, sculptural works, photographs, as well as wooden and ceramic sculptures.
The KSR holds monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month at the Gasthaus Drexl in Raisting, where artists have the opportunity to network and present their work. The opening of the annual exhibition is accompanied by a short performance and live music, offering visitors an impressive experience. A finissage is also planned for July 19th from 7 p.m., which will include an auction of a joint work in favor of the “Tafel”. Each participating artist contributed a small-format painting for the auction.
Diversity of art
Parallel to the exhibition in Dießen, the annual exhibition of the Wassenberg artist group will take place on August 18, 2025. This will open at 2 p.m. in the Wassenberg Bergfried. The community was previously founded by local artists in 2006 and is now celebrating its seventh exhibition in this location. The theme of this year's exhibition is “zArt – art soft and expressive”. Here, 29 artists present a wide range of works of art in different styles and techniques. Anyone interested can visit the show on the following three Sundays, August 25th, September 1st and 8th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and the participating artists are available for discussions.
The opening of the Wassenberg exhibition will be opened by Mayor Marcel Maurer, while Oliver Wessel will provide the musical accompaniment. The diversity of art that can be seen in both Raisting and Wassenberg shows how local artists enrich the culture in the region through their creativity and commitment. The KSR and the Art, Culture and Homeland Care Wassenberg gGmbH (KKH) make a significant contribution to the promotion of art and community through such events, as rp-online.de reports.
