Bochingen surprises everyone and wins the Mühlbach Cup 2-0!
The 49th Mühlbach Cup took place in Wittershausen last weekend. In the final, SpVgg Bochingen met SG Vöhringen, the defending champion, who strived for his second title in a row. In an exciting game, Bochingen surprisingly prevailed 2-0, which came unexpectedly even for her trainer. The prerequisites for the final were quite demanding, but the Bochinger showed an impressive performance and ended the tournament as the winner.The Mühlbach Cup started on Thursday evening with group B. In the opening game, TSG Wittershausen and SGM SV Bergfelden/SG Mühlheim-Renfrizhausen separated 2: 2. Further exciting encounters followed on Friday, including a narrow 1-0 win by VfR Sulz against SpVgg Bochingen. It also got intensive on Saturday: TSG Wittershausen defeated Sulz 3-1, while Bochingen secured the semi-finals with a 2-0 win against Wittershausen.
The way to the final
In Group A, the SG Vöhringen and SG SV Rosenfeld/SPFR. Isingen/Brittheim with a 1-1 draw. SV Fischingen and SG Holzhausen/VfR Sulz/Sigmarswangen II also separated 1-1. Vöhringen was then strong and took first place in the group by defeating Fischingen 2-0 and Rosenfeld with 4: 0. The Holzhausen, on the other hand, failed despite four points on the negative goal difference.
