Bochingen surprises everyone and wins the Mühlbach Cup 2-0!

The Mühlbach Cup started on Thursday evening with group B. In the opening game, TSG Wittershausen and SGM SV Bergfelden/SG Mühlheim-Renfrizhausen separated 2: 2. Further exciting encounters followed on Friday, including a narrow 1-0 win by VfR Sulz against SpVgg Bochingen. It also got intensive on Saturday: TSG Wittershausen defeated Sulz 3-1, while Bochingen secured the semi-finals with a 2-0 win against Wittershausen.

The way to the final

In Group A, the SG Vöhringen and SG SV Rosenfeld/SPFR. Isingen/Brittheim with a 1-1 draw. SV Fischingen and SG Holzhausen/VfR Sulz/Sigmarswangen II also separated 1-1. Vöhringen was then strong and took first place in the group by defeating Fischingen 2-0 and Rosenfeld with 4: 0. The Holzhausen, on the other hand, failed despite four points on the negative goal difference.

In the final, Heiko Kanz was the decisive man for SpVgg Bochingen when he scored both goals to win 2-0. This performance not only secured the cup victory, but also ensured great joy in the Bochingen camp. After the tournament, the coach of Bochingen expressed that he himself had not expected this title success, which makes the surprise all the greater.
