The 28th Agenbach Duathlon took place last Saturday, in which 107 participants from the region took part. The duathlon consists of running, cycling and running again. In the youth class and for women, the distances were 2 km running, 11 km cycling and 1 km running. Christoph Ohngemach secured first place in the youth male category with a total time of 36:34 minutes, which gave him a lead of 3:57 minutes over Nils Gaiser. Annika Kurz won the women's class and finished in 43:43 minutes, as schwarzwaelder-bote.de reports.

The men had to complete a longer distance: 3 km running, 16.5 km cycling and finally 2 km running. Richard Dürr achieved 3rd place in the men's age group. Zoltan Boros followed close behind, while Björn Gutekunst took 4th place in the men's class. In the team ranking, Eugen Waidelich as a cyclist and Stefan Grieb as a runner achieved 6th place. Overall, the Calmbach ski guild secured third place in the club rankings.

A wide range of sports offers from the Calmbach ski guild

The Calmbach ski guild offers an extensive range of sports and fitness for all age groups and is known for its social commitments. In 2018, the club received the Calw district sports sponsorship award, awarded by Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw. The award recognizes the club's above-average promotion of young talent and innovative concepts. Bernd Richter, a board member, accepted a check for 1,000 euros, while Georg Stickel, board member of the Sparkasse, praised the achievements of the Nordic youth sector.

The club's offerings include not only skiing, but also cycling, Nordic walking, children's gymnastics, running, triathlon, skiing activities and indoor gymnastics. Successful athletes such as Klara and Anna Ohngemach as well as Claudia Waidelich have already been honored for their achievements at German championships. Christoph Ohngemach can also look back on successes at district and Swabian championships, while Annika Kurz took part in “Youth training for the Olympics”.

Awards and achievements

The club's successes are reflected, among other things, in the outstanding rankings of its members. Amelie Kurz took 1st place at the district championships, while Klara Ohngemach achieved 2nd place at the Swabian championships and 3rd place at the Ba-Wü championships. Anna Ohngemach was able to catapult herself to 1st place at the district championships as well as 2nd place at the Swabian Championships and 4th place at the DSV Student Cup. Ruben Dürr came in 4th at the German Roller Ski Championships, and both Claudia and Daniel Waidelich achieved excellent placings at the District and Swabian Championships.
