Several cars burned out in Neukölln - investigations into arson!
On the night of June 13, 2025, a spectacular vehicle fire occurred in Berlin-Neukölln. Several cars went up in flames, which led to a considerable amount of damage in Sülzhayner Straße. An attentive resident noticed the fire and immediately alerted the police and the fire brigade in order to be able to intervene as quickly as possible.
The fire brigade's forces reached the site and started extinguishing work around 1:25 a.m. After the fire was deleted, it turned out that a VW and an Opel were completely burned out. In addition, three other vehicles - one Audi, one Hyundai and another Opel - were badly damaged. A tree in between and the adjacent house wall also suffered significant damage from the flames. After initial investigations, it was likely that the fire from the VW attacked the other vehicles, which resulted in a rapid spread of the fire.
Investigations into arson
The fire commissioner of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office has started the investigation and is suspected of the arson. These were initiated to clarify the background and causes of the incident. In a first announcement by the Berlin police, the severity of the situation was emphasized, in particular the fact that not only the vehicles, but also surrounding objects were severely affected.
The events in Sülzhayner Straße once again show the importance of fast action in the event of a fire. Thanks to the rapid reaction of the resident, even greater damage and personal damage could possibly be prevented. The investigation is now being observed closely because there is suspicion of intentional action.
