in the 16th century

The Chilean artist María Jesús Ortiz de Fernandez, inspired by Pasqualini, began to research his life story almost ten years ago. Details about Pasqualini and its physiognomy are largely unknown. Fernández observed people in Bologna to capture the character traits of the Italian architect in their work and gave him the features of a confident, upright character.

The sculpture as an artistic heritage

The sculpture created by Ortiz de Fernandez, which has a height of 35 cm and weighs 6 kg, is cast out of bronze. She shows Pasqualini with his work in the right hand and a master sign. This small plastic not only reflects the inner values of the protagonist, but also the deep philosophy of geometry and architecture.
