In the early morning of September 28, 2025 there was a fire in Leipzig-Liebertwolkwitz in an empty building. Professional fire brigades of the South and West rescue guards as well as the volunteer fire brigades from Engelsdorf, Liebertwolkwitz and southwest were mobilized as soon as possible.
On site, the emergency services offered a picture of the destruction. Untim and old roof beams burned on a ruin. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade, the fire could be contained within 20 to 30 minutes. The affected area was soon under control and the extinguishing work was reduced to a fire truck. Some of the alarmed emergency vehicles were able to cancel during the journey, which indicates the successful fight against fire. Meanwhile, the state police secured the extinguishing work. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this fire.
