On the night of Wednesday, June 12, 2025, the Sparkasse branch at Connewitzer Kreuz in Leipzig was significantly damaged. Unknown perpetrators broke into the bank branch while customers and employees were away and caused extensive property damage. According to tag24, several windows in the branch were demolished.
