In a spectacular action, customs made Autobahn 17 the scene of intensive controls at the weekend! From June 18th to 20th, 2025, over 100 vehicles and almost 300 people were checked in a parking lot near Heidenholz. On a Czech car, customs officers noticed over 600 packages that looked like candy but were actually filled with cannabis products. The driver is now facing criminal proceedings!
Not only that: a 27-year-old Czech man had 22 joints in his luggage - another surprise for the inspectors! And as if that wasn't enough, a black Audi A6 with a Kosovo license plate was stopped shortly before the end of the measure. Without the necessary proof of customs clearance, the authorities suspect the driver of tax evasion amounting to almost 4,500 euros. A total of 24 criminal cases were initiated and a further 17 cases were referred to various authorities. An impressive sign against illegal imports and drug trafficking!
