On September 27 and 29, 2025, the federal police made alarming finds as part of border controls in the Zittau and Neugersdorf region. When checking a vehicle on September 27th, the officials discovered a jumping knife in the driver's door of a 54-year-old Czech vehicle, who traveled in Zittau.
Two days later, on the night of September 29, the police stopped another vehicle, whose inmates also led to the weapons law. These discoveries raise questions about security at the limits and illustrate the need for intensive controls.
