Serious accident in Dresden: Two injured on Stuttgarter Straße!
In the early morning of August 21, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the corner of Stuttgarter Straße and Altkaitz. Two VW vehicles collided for unknown reasons, with one of the cars overturning on its side. Fortunately, the 55-year-old driver of the overturned vehicle only sustained minor injuries and was able to get out of the vehicle independently. She was treated on site by firefighters and then taken to a hospital.
The 42-year-old driver of the second vehicle, however, suffered serious injuries. First responders initially looked after him before he was given medical care by a rescue team and firefighters and transported to the hospital. During the rescue operation there were significant traffic delays, which also affected local public transport, including school buses. The fire department was on site with 36 emergency services and secured the scene of the accident before it was handed over to the police, who have now started investigating the cause of the accident.
