Robbery blackmail in Leipzig: 20-year-old behind bars!

In a dramatic police operation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, a 20-year-old suspect, who is urgently suspected of having committed an attack on a hotel employee in the heart of Leipzig on June 4, 2025. The investigators of the specialist commissioner and the deployment trains searched the suspect's apartment and those of the 21-year-olds, where they have secured extensive evidence in the early morning.

The Leipzig District Court had previously ordered the searches at the request of the public prosecutor. The evidence found caused the young man to be arrested and demonstrated to an investigative judge, and issued the arrest warrant due to particularly severe predatory extortion in conjunction with dangerous assault. The suspect was brought to a correctional facility, while the 21-year-old, who is said to have been present during the robbery, initially stays small. The investigation against both people continues.
