Massive police operation at Leipzig main station: 15 arrests and 320 checks!
At the weekend, Leipzig Central Station became the control center for police operations! Over 130 officers from the Federal Police and the Joint Station Center Task Force took up the check and pulled out all the stops. Around 320 people were checked in a concentrated effort, with 15 people immediately being sent off. The focus was clearly on combating violent crime, and the results are impressive: several physical injuries and violations of the Weapons and Narcotics Act were uncovered.
Particularly noticeable was a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman who appeared in arguments involving physical injuries and theft. Fortunately, her victim met her throwing attack with a pair of scissors unscathed. But that wasn't her only crime - several cases were initiated against the woman, who was known to the police several times. The federal police didn't let up and also arrested a 38-year-old German woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant. Her stay at the main train station ended with her immediate transfer to the Chemnitz prison. The hunt for criminals continues in Leipzig!
