Wednesday afternoon in Langenreichenbach: A grain field turns into an inferno! For unknown reasons, a fire broke out and quickly burned down an area of 300 x 300 meters. All vegetation was destroyed and the blazing fire spread to an adjacent property, where several conifers burst into flames.
The volunteer fire brigades from Torgau and Klitzschen reacted quickly and fought bravely against the flames. The material damage to the grain field is estimated at around 10,000 euros, while the flames to the conifers cost another 1,500 euros. Luckily there were no injuries, but police are now investigating the cause of the fire. The law enforcement officers are faced with a puzzle!
