Young moped driver flees from police: pursuit on Sebnitz' streets!
A 17-year-old moped driver caused a stir in Sebnitz when he evaded a police check. The officers noticed the teenager on his Simson S 51 as he drove through a parking lot on Maxim-Gorki-Straße without lights. When the police wanted to stop him, the teenager accelerated and raced along the sidewalk and bike path of the nearby skate park towards Götzingerstrasse.
After a short chase, he turned around and was finally stopped on Maxim-Gorki-Strasse. The 17-year-old did not have a driver's license with him, but he did have one. He is now facing several charges for various administrative offenses - including driving without lights, driving on the sidewalk and ignoring a police order to stop.
