A fire broke out in a workshop on Ladestrasse yesterday afternoon when a VW van burst into flames. A 35-year-old man had previously carried out welding work on the vehicle, which triggered the fiery disaster in the engine compartment. Fortunately, no one was injured and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in time.
The fire caused material damage of around 7,500 euros, while the interior of the building was damaged by soot-related contamination. The police have already started investigations into negligent arson and are continuing the investigations.
