In a dramatic incident in Dresden, two trams collided on Leipziger Straße in Pieschen on October 14, 2025 at 5:23 p.m. A total of six people were injured in this collision, including the two drivers as well as two adults and two children aged approximately 2 and 12. All of the injured complained of pain in their extremities and head and were immediately treated by the emergency services and transported to Dresden hospitals.
The deployment of the rescue workers, which consist of 22 specialists from the Albertstadt and Striesen fire and rescue stations, is expected to take several hours. Due to the incident, the area around the Elbcenter is currently completely closed. Road users are asked to avoid the area, while onlookers are asked to respect the barriers and instructions of emergency services.
