On December 2nd and 3rd, 2025, the main train station in Dresden caused a stir when the federal police had several operations. Three people were arrested and there were serious violations of the Weapons and Narcotics Act.
An alcoholic 38-year-old Syrian was taken into custody on Monday afternoon after aggressive behavior towards DB security employees. When police searched his jacket, they found a 20cm long kitchen knife. The man was taken into custody to sober up and reported.
On Tuesday morning, a 19-year-old German was discovered during a check carrying a one-hand knife in his trouser pocket. Proceedings were initiated against him for violating the weapons law. The investigation is ongoing and the security situation at the station remains tense.
