Three migrants at the Görlitz Viaduct: Smuggler escapes!
In an explosive incident on Tuesday evening in Görlitz, the federal police became aware of three men who were near a railway viaduct. When asked, they claimed to be from Sudan, but without identification, it turned out that only one of them actually had Sudanese nationality. The other two men, aged 22, 23 and 26, are Chadians.
The three migrants said they were helped by an unknown smuggler who took them by car to the railway viaduct on the Polish side. Under the smuggler's guidance, they then crossed the border illegally by crossing the bridge. But their attempt to get to Germany did not go unnoticed: they were ultimately deported back to Poland.
